When we planned last year’s premiere Black Cat Ball, we weren’t sure if it would become an annual event. We had never hosted a black tie affair of this kind, and were unsure of the response we’d receive. We were overwhelmed by the response from our supporters and animal-lovers across the region–more than 250 people attended including many local celebrities. We had so much fun, we decided to do it again–only this time it will be bigger and better! Black Cat Ball 2012–at a new venue and a new time and date–will feature more exquisite, Latin-inspired food and drink, live music and dancing, better audio/visual equipment, a bigger and more elegant completely private space, and a more central location with valet parking. Guests can also take advantage of a live and silent auction. Last year we announced that we were planning to build a new state-of-the-art adoption center. This year we will be unveiling the plans! Of course we’ll also be celebrating 41 years of rescuing and rehabilitating over 16,000 sick, injured, abused, and neglected stray cats and providing more than 20,000 free or low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for cats and dogs.
