Join more than 4,000 two-legged and 1,500 four-legged participants in the San Diego Humane Society & SPCA 18th Annual Walk for Animals on Saturday, May 5 at Crown Point Shores, Mission Bay in Pacific Beach. Attendees will enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast, fun-filled doggie activities and contests, information booths, music, and festivities all while raising funds for the San Diego Humane Society’s many programs and services.

The event is the highlight of the year and serves as the official kick off to Spring for the animals and their pet parents. This one-day event is suitable for the entire family, along with well-mannered pets. Walk alone or form a team of family, friends or co-workers.

More than 1,000 animal-loving runners and walkers, many with their pets in tow, will join together to support the animal rescue efforts of the Humane Society of Southwest Washington. This year’s Walk Run for the Animals will feature members of the Rose City Rollers, Portland’s hard-hitting roller derby league, as Walk Grand Marshals; the ReTrails Thrift Store donation trailer will be onsite accepting donations of gently used items; a pancake breakfast sponsored by Elmer’s, an expensive Vendor Village, live music from Jawbone Flats, contests, prizes, and more!

Join the Delaware Humane Society for an afternoon of doggone good fun to raise money for homeless animals. Participants will take a scenic one mile stroll along Lums Pond and then enjoy a day of festivities for the whole family.

There will be refreshments, pet contests (Cutest Costume, Best Pet Trick, Most Precious Puppy, Best Kisser, Owner Look Alike, and Best Tail Wagger), agility and dog demos, children’s activities, raffles, and pet-friendly vendors. Canine companions are welcome to join you, but are not required in order to walk.

Tuxes & Tails is the Seattle Humane Society’s premier fundraising gala. Every year, more than 800 animal lovers gather to bid on amazing silent and live auction items in support of the animals in our care. Guests enjoy a gourmet dinner, delicious wine, and delight in the night’s finale—a spectacular runway show featuring local celebrities and adoptable shelter pets! The funds raised from the event go directly to providing food, shelter, and veterinary care for the thousands of animals in Seattle Humane Society’s care each year. It also supports low-fee spay/neuter services, our Pet Food Bank for the pets of low-income seniors and Pet Project for the animals of people with AIDS, and many other life-saving programs and services.

Bark For A Cause
